  1. MA in Higher and Post Secondary Ed as well! Has anyone heard anything about this program? And for those that were admitted, will you enroll? I'm seriously considering this one but it's so expensive!
  2. Me too! I would like something official.
  3. Nope. My online status still just says that my application is complete and was submitted.
  4. I received a call today around 2pm (PST) telling me that I was recommended for admission to the M.S.Ed program in Higher Education and would receive official materials within the next few days! I'm a little sad because I actually missed that call. But I guess they have started to notify people. Good luck to everyone else!
  5. oceanstorm, I'm still waiting to hear from TC for the MA in Higher and Postsecondary Ed. When did you find out?
  6. Yeah, I applied to the PASA program. I received a call at the end of January informing me that the faculty have recommended me for admission and then received the official letter in mid-February. I didn't expect to hear from anyone that soon so that call in January jumpstarted my admission decision anxiety. haha.
  7. I didn't apply to the PSE program but I worked on a research project and the PI serves as a faculty member on the PSE program. I also worked with a lot of graduate students who are part of the program. For the PSE program, admission is really more about fit and the kind of research you are interested in. I was told that as long as your GRE scores are above 500 in Verbal AND Quantitative you will be okay. I'm not sure about AW though.
  8. I got the same rejection email letter and applied to the Student Affairs program as well.
  9. Thanks for the support mochalatte. It's almost the end of the month and I heard that my program's acceptance letters went out last week. Since there's still no news on my end, I am assuming rejection. I'm a little sad and bitter since I devoted a lot of my undergraduate years to working with the Education department. Oh well. Screw LA. I'm going to SC. hahaha.
  10. Congrats to those who got in! I went to UCLA as an undergrad and miss it dearly. I applied to their Student Affairs program and found out from another candidate that she received her acceptance letter last week. I have not heard anything and am beginning to get discouraged. =( I don't know too much specifically about the HEOC program but I would be more than happy to give one student's opinion about any general questions about the UCLA campus and student life if you want to ask here or PM me.
  11. Oh I applied to UCLA's Student Affairs Program. haha. I was just curious because I was also an undergraduate at UCLA and was a research assistant for a project where the PI is a faculty member for the PSE program - but her research interests are more about motivation, ethnicity, and gender. I've never met Connie but have heard good things about her and her lab is actually right next to the one that I worked in. Good luck! I love LA and miss it dearly.
  12. Hi Phoenix Rising & t_ruth, Did you apply for UCLA's PSE program? I was wondering who you hope to work with?
  13. Based on cycles in the past, people heard back in mid-March so I'm not anticipating hearing anything earlier. I've only heard back from one school, USC, whose deadline was in mid-December.
  14. I am! I applied to a combination of Student Affairs or Higher Education programs depending on what the school offered. I am anxious as well! (even though I just barely got all of my apps sent) I applied to Penn too! Where else did you apply to edgrad?
  15. I applied to a combination of Masters programs in Student Affairs or Higher Education depending on what the school offered. I applied to UCLA, USC, Claremont Graduate University, UC Riverside, Teachers College, and Penn GSE. Based on admission cycles, it looks like I won't know anything until mid-March. Let the waiting begin...
