Hhhmmmm.... My application status page for UVA still shows "PENDING". I didn't know UVA had rounds like some other schools. OR is UVA processing some later files together as well. I really don't want to give up hope until the final verdict but curious to know the process at UVA works.

congrats! Mine still states "pending" hopefully this will change pretty soon and I will know a definite result!

Thanks for the encouragement. But, I think it is better to be a bit more realistic as well.

aaahhhh.... I don't think I got admitted to UVA. The grad secretary replied back but merely told me that an letter will be sent out by this week. My misery piles on!

Yean, let's try to stay optimistic until further information comes out. We're still in the second week of Feb, so I don't think it is panic time just yet.

Is there another grad school site other than this one? Could you PM me if there is another one? As someone who's applied to both schools, I hope there is some possibility left there. According to UVA data, they admit roughly 25-35 students each year, I guess funding is only available to limited amount. If UVA has already sent out their decisions, then I am assuming that we would've have heard a bit more about the decisions rather than just one on this site. Northwestern is a bit different. I just think it is to early to call on Northwestern as well. A few got early decisions (true), but I just think Northwestern is not done yet at this stage and should wait a bit longer. Next week, and perhaps the following week, will be key to most of these schools. I'm just hoping at this stage.

My gut feeling is that Virginia might be done as well. I checked the poliscijobrumor site and people there are claiming that UVA already sent out their decision notifications. Not the best of feelings at the moment but Ordionuovo might have a point.

Now you are certainly worrying me there. Perhaps I'll give them another day and then e-mail the DGS for further information.

Hey Plisar, thanks for this list. However, it seems like Colorado Boulder has already contacted the admitted people. EDIT: Also, didn't UC Irvine contact people sometime during the second week of last year?

Can someone please make a list of all the schools that are expected to make the decisions next week?

Where can you find the new rankings? Or can someone post the rankings up on the board.

My WUSTL status has not changed at all. Very selective indeed! When will I ever hear from the schools that I applied to!

I'm with you here as well. I haven't heard back from any of the schools that I have applied to and have been waiting on UVA for some time now. They must say something by today.

That is an extremely good fellowship. Too bad i didn't apply there. Anyways, another exciting day of anticipation and worrying. So which school are we expecting to hear from today?
