Received this email this evening: "Congratulations! You have been recommended by Political Science for admission to the Graduate School of The University of Georgia. The Office of Graduate Admissions cannot proceed with the final acceptance, however, because your file is incomplete.Please send the following information to complete your application." Pretty sure that means I'm in right?! I have to submit a form about finances as I'm an international. No word on funding as of yet ... Good luck to all you other UGA guys!!

Quick question, how did you find out about Northwestern so fast? Did you inquire or did the department contact you regarding your application? Just curious because my application status page shows no change. Congrats again and thanks.

Yeah, I am curious myself. When does Northwestern normally notify the applicants? It seems previous result posts suggest that their isn't a clear deadline for Northwestern. Is this true?

What do you think of this tone?

hhhmmmmm.... already 5 OSU posts. I guess this means that OSU doesn't have rounds: either you're in or your out.

From what I understand they don't have TAships. It is mostly fellowships and RA positions that they offer. I know two people who were accepted to CGU. One, who happens to be one my PHD-cohorts, was offered one-semester tuition waiver. My other friend was offered a RA package, which was barely amount you could survive on. So the lesson is, even if you are offered funding of some sort it usually is not enough to cover the bare minimum expenses. Hope this helps but then again it is only two cases from a big sample who get admitted and enroll.

I applied to UGA as well. My file has been "incomplete" for the last month or so. According to them, they still haven't received my transcripts, not from me, but from the graduate office. Also got that e-mail from Notre Dame saying the department still haven't received my LORs. Well they were all apparently sent in November and early December and the application status page shows that they have "officially" received them. Talk about organizational efficiency! I guess it is important to continuously check with the departments for updates.

I just saw the UNC post on the results search page. I had a good laugh. I know people are not in the mood for any jokes related to school results, but that was kind of hilarious. I was thinking "man this person must be next door neighbors with this particular prof!" Anyways, keep us all posted for news from schools.

Well many of us who applied to Duke didn't hear back during Duke's first wave of rejection letters! That at least is a good sign. Good luck to those who applied to UCLA as well.

Yes, very quiet in comparison to yesterday. Something is brewing or could be another day of worrying without finding out anything. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
