I never got a reply back from Ohio University or George Mason . I have already accepted a masters offer O well.

Visit both schools before deciding you may be sorry if you dont. Also just because a school is in the south does not mean there are no activities or good food. It is very easy to find local home grown food in the south and there are plenty of state parks and such. It really just depends what your idea of recreational activities and good food is. If you want shopping malls and 5 star restaurants then maybe go to the city.

Im going over stats alot this summer. I already know SPSS pretty well I can run run most tests already. On of my prof. has their statistic notes online for student to review also.

Im with you on this. I had the mindset that I had to get a PhD. or nothing applied to more than I did masters. Got accepted to a very good masters program within a week through a phone call. Visited the campus and stuff and figured out that it is still going to be very strenuous and rewarding in the end. The professors in the program are very supportive and want students to succeed there is 6 full time PhD professors just for this MA program alone. I just got the feeling that some PhD programs (not all) are very pompous and arrogant. Im actually excited for this program because most of their students also applied to lots of other programs. They said they felt they are learning more in this MA than they could have in other programs because of the amount of applied experience and support from the professors.

I applied to multiple schools spent about $350 in application fees and have heard back from 2. One of the deadlines was Dec. 15th and I still have heard nothing. I got accepted to one visited the school and like it they notified me within 2 weeks of the deadline. Prof. called me to notify me and sounded enthusiastic so I will probably go there. I would rather go to a good program with a helpful and supportive staff than some school that has huge name status with pompous professors that think students should worship the ground they lecture on.

I have been watching the tv show Damages on netflix. I like this sort of thing it is not for everyone its pretty dry. Movies I like to look up different "greatest or best of" and watch them all like the best sci fi movies of all time etc.

Im in the same boat im kind of glad actually now. I always had my eye set on this certain MA program but was kind of convinced to apply to PhD. I will see how the next two years go and then decide if I really want to go further or not.

I was accepted yesterday via phone by MTSU for masters in I/O psychology.

Got accepted to MTSU's master program today. Received a call about 6 from one of the professors .

I have been lurking for a few months now but I decided I will post. I am applying to some PhD and masters programs in I/O psychology for the Fall 11 term. My GRE is not godlike like most people on this board who freak out over a 1300 but I tried very hard and took the thing 3 times to get my score. GPA 3.6 overall 3.9 in major GRE 1020 Research 3 years in a lab have done multiple things. Presented 3 posters 2 at state conferences. Presented 1 talk LOR's are superb all from Phd's I have known them for at least 2 years. Worked on campus as a residential advisor then as a residential director for 4 years. ( I am including this because I think is holds some merit) Sent in my VITA with all applications I applied to these three PhD's I do not expect to get accepted to any of them because of my GRE.
