  1. Hey! I gave this advice before! Perhaps, this might come in handy: if you don't want to stay on campus (which, btw, i think is a good call), you can book a hotel room for a day or two (or as much as you consider necessary), and check out the area. See what your choices are. If you need a tip on where to find decently-priced hotels near Storrs, I recommend this site - http://uconn.citires.ro/. I've taken a look at it and it's seems ok to me. But, it's up to you what you want to do. Anyway, hope my advice helps. Good luck!
  2. If there is someone planning on going for a couple of days to check out the area, i saw that there are nice deals on nearby hotels on http://berkeley.universityhotelnetwork.com/! Hope that will help in the future!
  3. I don't know how to answer your question, but, perhaps a trip to the university will clarify all your questions. You can stay for a couple of days and also check out the area (get an idea on where you can stay, go out, party on weekends and stuff like that - my brother did that and it was cool 'cause he knew the area before he started and he made a lot of friends that way). You can find a nice hotel deal on http://csufresno.universityhotelnetwork.com/ (they often have discounts, from what i've seen and from what people say about them). Anyway, hope I helped and good luck!
  4. Hey, I think that the best thing you and all you guys looking for where to stay, while attending, should do, is, to book a hotel room for a couple of days and check out the area, first. My brother did so and he found a roommate immediately. You can find some hotels on http://ua.universityhotelnetwork.com/. Hope this helps.
