Hi I applied for PhD programme in International Studies. They sent a formal note of acceptance. The funding decisions are still not made and I am waiting for that. Did you speak with the Graduate Admissions Officer? I would suggest that you speak directly to the Chairperson of your department. Keep posted.

That is great. I am sure you will be able to find TA/RA first year. I am still waiting for funding decisions and hopefully I will hear from them later next week. My certificate of admission did not mention anything about funding and I was like: "oh ok now I got to spend three more weeks palpitating"

I have not been to Pittsburgh before. I am an international student. Pittsburgh was rated the "Most Livable American City" by The Economist in 2009. It should be great there. Did you get your Master's or PhD admission?
