they haven't...i have yet another phone interview with a brandeis prof on monday.
i had an interview at brown this past week. this is for psychology though.
no one is every 150% thrilled with something all the time.
grad school is your job. the question isn't if you like your job 150% of the time, the question is if you find your job satisfying in general. so i think what you're feeling is realistic.
anyway, does anyone have interviews set up elsewhere? i was devastated after getting waitlisted, but now i'm heading off for a weekend of interviews in the midwest. time to put on a happy face!
I don't know if I agree with this. I really really want a PhD and it's a definite career goal for me, but I don't know if the scale tips toward PhD when choosing between career and marriage/family. Ideally it'd be a happy medium and there would be compromise on both sides. Note: this doesn't apply if you've been dating someone for 3 weeks or something.
