  1. UC Davis should be notifying over the next few days.
  2. I haven't heard anything either. I'm guessing they'll go out no later than next Wednesday if they are doing "late January" interviews. Every year it seems that there is a least one poster per program that gets an interview or acceptance.
  3. Yeah, that is the vibe I get. I was invited to interview weekends at Rice and Notre Dame and while it seems that they like me, I don't get the vibe that there are any guarantees.
  4. The invitation came directly from the director of graduate studies via email.
  5. Rice has started sending out interview invites.
  6. I applied to the program.
  7. I finished all of my applications Monday (I wanted to have them all done before the New Year).
  8. Are you serious? My old GRE score is a 1300 which translates to a 315 when I sign into ETS. So LPO program told you that they don't even look at applications below 316?
  9. I am also applying for Fall 2014. I am currently in a Phd program, but my professor (only person with my interest) took another job. I am using my old GRE format scores (1300 with a low AW score). Idk what that means with the new format. My thesis will be my writing sample. I have a few ASA presentations on my CV, one R&R, and one submission under review. I'm am narrowing down my list of schools now.

  11. Honorable Mention...someone made it on the waiting list in the other thread. Congratulations to Oklagirl!
  12. Honorable Mention At least your app was good enough to be an alternate.
  13. Sure has...I know someone who received an acceptance call about two hours ao.
  14. ^^^some people do that. An accepted person at my school just cancelled a visit because he accepted an offer from John's Hopkins
  15. My background is Organizational Development. I can't say whether I would have been successful anywhere else because I only applied to one school and I got in (accepted into the MA portion of a MA/PhD program)
