  1. Things I won't miss: 1) The snobby New England attitude 2) Working with people who don't know the difference between Penn State and UPenn (both great schools, but come on, they're not the same place!!!) 3) People constantly making fun of my "southern" accent 4) 9-5. 5) Commuting 40 miles every day 6) Long New England winters Things I will miss: 1) The wonderful friends I've made in my 2 years of post-bac 2) Relaxation 3) All of the cute family-owned restaurants Little Rhody has to offer
  2. I didn't, and I haven't come across anyone on here who has, sorry! I hope you get a helpful response soon!
  3. Hi Gabbyl, I also applied to UMSL. I haven't heard from them yet though!
  4. No, I haven't, but it may be too early for things like that to be popping up. I'll let you know if I find anything though! I am currently about 5 hours away from Philly (driving) so I hope to go down some time in March.
  5. That is so evil!! I can't believe they actually do things like that. I hope you hear from them soon!
  6. Wow skeedy, what a sweet and uplifting way to start my morning. Thank you and good luck to you!
  7. No, I graduated in 2009 and have been working in research since then. I am very ready to go back to school though. California is far away -- do you think you'll visit at all before the orientation?
  8. A_Murphy, are you a UMD alum? If not, are you able to log on to Testudo to check your application status? I'm just curious to see if non-alums can use Testudo as well.
  9. I'm still waiting to hear from 3 schools, and I've already been accepted to 2 wonderful programs, but to make myself feel better(/ease the crazy) I sometimes go and reread my acceptance letters. Anyone else do that? I hate waiting!!!
  10. Hi there! I'm in too! I haven't officially decided on it yet, but I am very seriously considering it! Have you visited? It seems like a very exciting program!
  11. Haha, I feel exactly the same way! I have definitely incorporated reading gradcafe into my (hourly) routine of obsessive application status checking!
  12. I am also planning on continuing on to get my PhD after my masters, I just thought it would be helpful for me to get a masters degree first before committing to a PhD program.
  13. Oh, very cool! Have you heard from anywhere yet? I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who just applied to masters programs!
  14. I'm sorry, I meant Masters in Criminology/Criminal Justice. Anyone?
  15. I've been browsing the forums, and it seems as though most people are applying for PhDs. Anyone out there just looking for a Masters degree?
