ACCEPTED for MGPS! Got the call this afternoon... I hadn't realized I'd been holding my breath for 2 weeks until I finally exhaled today.

Long story. He was originally rejected. He's taking classes at UT to boost his GPA and build some relationships w/ professors (has his BA from UT in History); told one of his profs he had been rejected and the prof was shocked. Said he'd reach out to the dean at LBJ who is a friend. Dean said he'd put him on the waitlist and monitor his app, whatever that means. I don't think his status was ever changed online, and I couldn't convince him of the importance of checking w/ the admissions office (am I a pain in the a*** mother or what?). What sort of communication did you get about being waitlisted?

How were you notified you were accepted?

Is this the same for MGPS/US students? Son is now waitlisted and wondering how long it might take to hear something.

He only applied at LBJ. Not sure what the Plan B is.

Nope, he's and "E". Just got the word he was declined. Don't know why it took them so long.

Son STILL has not heard one way or the other as of 8p last evening (MGPS). Not a good sign.....

He's applied for the MPGS program, so seeing all these acceptances and still not hearing anything is nervewracking. We'll hope for good news sometime today.

Are acceptances still going out? I'm a grad applicant mom; don't know who's more anxious, him or me.
