Depends on your style. I went to visit and the Old GC looked more beautiful to me.....like a cathedral, gothic architecture, etc.... the kind of things I like to look at!

I am not sure anymore because I have been matched since November and no update. I did get the email about the extension to March 28th though. Not sure. I think it is more like held and then your employer selects you.......... Yeah, still trying to understand what they mean.....but mine has been matched all along and no change........... BTW, any news anyone?

No. I did not get an email........ I did not get this. I think it is more for applicants who meet the requirements for Sandia (US Citizenship etc.) than for everyone............ Me too....MechE2014. I wish they would have sent us the email so we know if we are still under consideration. Well...March 15 is around the corner........... we will know very soon!

Thanks, gorki! I will be on campus actually on March 13-14 for MAE visit day. I plan to live in GC since it is part of the conditions of the offer for residency requirement. But, I will get to see my family during the weekends!

I have accepted the Princeton offer for MAE since they offered me the Presidential Fellowship. Haven't thought of housing yet since I have family in NYC. Any of you going to be on campus during the visiting weekend?

Yes, but nothing much I think. Here is what I got in my account: University Acceptance In order to complete your application, we need to know which university you intend to matriculate through. At least one university has indicated that you have been accepted and that they are willing to sponsor you. If you choose to go to a university that sponsors you, and an employer agrees to sponsor you, you will become a GEM Fellow. Which university to you plan to attend? But no decision if I have been awarded the fellowship. Profile still says matched...........

It was an email. My POI says the grad school will send out official notification to all on Feb 18 and to expect a letter in the mail.

It was an unofficial acceptance from UC Berkeley from the department. Diversity Day is March 15 - 17th.

I finally reached out to my POIs at the universities and every one of them have verified my status. No contact from any employer yet though! Still crossing my fingers and hoping for the best! Just got an email from GEM asking to call the POIs at the GEM Universities we applied to so they can update the database for our applications to move on to the next level nu Jan 31st! Anyone else in the same boat?

I also applied to the GEM fellowship and was matched about a month ago. I have not heard anything yet since there is no confirmation of the schools I have applied to in the database. I got an email saying I will hear from them in April once the schools confirm I have applied.

I may be the bearer of bad news, BUT 1) if they have sent out acceptances and (which they have) 2) done the ADMIT day for the MS students (which they have) Your chances for getting admitted are not looking good.

I know! It was easier to "forget" about the applications until I saw results trickling in for other programs close to my program from the schools. But what keeps me calm is knowing you guys are feeling the same way about having not heard from all your schools! Hang in there, guys. It is almost over!....in a couple more months.......

I really love this forum! Most of the people here applied later in the year and you guys are freaking out! I applied 9/26/2012 (as soon as the forms were online, in case you are wondering) and I have not heard a peep from any of the schools! But reading the posts everyday tells me that I am not as crazy as I once thought! Good to know I am in the RIGHT place. Let's rant on!
