Congrats on making your decision, that must be a huge relief!!! If you think that it would be the right thing to do, please consider informing the schools that you haven't heard from yet. I'm sure that those schools are the top choice for a lot of applicants, and you could help someone who otherwise might have to go through being waitlisted. -

Thanks, good luck to you as well!! UCF isn't really my first choice...I've lived in Florida all my life and I have nothing really holding me here at the moment, so I'm really wanting to use this as a chance to experience something new. I'm actually veeeeery conflicted and undecided about where I should accept (I didn't expect to end up having so many choices). St. Xavier is really high up in consideration for me, so I'm dying to hear from there (and for some reason, I am really sensing a rejection coming from there...but I'll have to wait and see), and I also really like the program at UT Dallas...buuuut yeah, I'm really not sure. -

Did anyone else get the email from UCF today? They said that decisions will be made by the end of April...that sounds waaay too late. But then again, UNC Greensboro sent out an email saying decisions would be ready sometime between April 1-15, and I've already heard from them. -

AGREED. It is really stressing me out deciding which ones I should even visit. Anyways, good luck to everyone this week! -

Just asking this now while it is part of the conversation...what about having a car in the St. Xavier area? I've seen people say that it is fairly necessary to have a car there, would you guys agree? (sorry if that discussion was on here and I am bringing it up again...but I post a few other places like this, and I feel like it was somewhere else that I was told that. Not sure, though!) -

Click on your username at the very top right of the page, and from there click on "my settings"...from that page, there will be an option to the left that says "signature"...write what you want in that textbook and save it. I hope that helps! -

Maybe I'll take my turn calling, and see what I can find out...ha. Yeah, it actually is one of my top choices. If I were to be accepted I would have to find out more about the program before making a decision, but I would reeeeeeally like to go to school in Chicago. That is one of the reasons that I really want to find out soon, because I'm not going to have a lot of time to figure things out before decisions have to be made. But yeah, I know that I do already have some great options And you do as well! -

Thanks for the update Ahh more than 400 applicants, that makes me really nervous! I reeeally want to be accepted there. Did you happen to ask her about how we will be notified? -

I don't know for sure, but I have heard that the rankings have a loooot to do with the research that the schools put out (I think that is why smaller schools are typically lower). I have been told that the rankings do very little to judge how good your clinical/education experience will be...and as someone who isn't very interested in the research aspect of the field, I am basically ignorning those rankings because the clinical aspect matters a whole lot more to me. -

I'm guessing that they will mail the decisions, since that seems to be what they have done in past years. Maybe they will update the CLAWS accounts too, though? I didn't see any mention of that on the results board, but we can hope! Good luck with SXU and Northwestern...Purdue and Rush are two really solid acceptances, though! Congrats! -

Update on St. Xavier (I'm the one who said that my friend got an email). Apparently she just got the email with login information (which I had gotten in Feb) so there was no admission decision...but that prompted her to call and ask about decisions, and they told her that decisions would go out this week! So if that's true, I guess that we can probably expect to hear from them late this week/early next week. I'm hoping so!! That is the last school that I feel that I really need to hear back from before I attempt to make my decision (I feel like I have already kind of decided against the other two that I haven't heard back from). -

hmmm...not trying to start any kind of conspiracy, but it is interesting that we both went to UF for undergrad and were both rejected from FSU... -

I was kind of wondering about that. I am doing my undergrad at UF, and the thought crossed my mind that maybe FSU thought that I was hoping to continue there and only applied to FSU as a safety...while in reality I didn't apply to UF at all. I'm okay with the rejection, though- I reeeeally want to go somewhere out of state. -

I'm not sure, I was a bit surprised about the flat-out rejection from FSU too. I wonder if they even have a wait list? Surely they do... Maybe they just got a looot more applications this year? -

St. Xavier applicants, did you guys get an email today?? I have a friend who applied there also, and she says that she got an email with login information and it says that the admission status is up. She can't checked now because she is in class and it won't open on her phone (she texted me about this), so it's not 100% that it is up, but it sounds that way! Anyways, the reason that I am kind of freaking out is that I didn't get an email, so I was curious if you guys had gotten it. -

I don't think that it's weird. Last week I visited one of the schools that I was accepted to, which I flew from out of state to visit, and my mom came on the trip with me, as well as going along with me to visit the school. I think that it's totally understandable that you would want a second opinion about the program before making a decision. I went ahead and asked the advisor that I was meeting with if it would be alright to bring my mom with me, just so that they would be expecting it...so you might want to consider that, but I don't think that it's a big deal either way. -

I got my first rejection, from FSU. I'm from Florida, so it would have been less expensive than the places that I have gotten in so far...but I'm honestly not too upset, because it wouldn't really have been one of my first choices...so now I'll have less of a debate in my head between program/cost. -

hmm, I actually don't think that I have a MyUCF account! Did they email you the information about that after you turned in the application? I don't believe that I ever got anything from them :/ -

Hey, I was wondering if you heard anything else worth repeating about St. Xavier? It's cool that you have gotten to talk to a student about the program...did they seem positive about it? FSU decisions are supposed to be online at 5PM today, so good luck to fellow applicants for there! And good luck for everyone else, with hearing back from other places!!
