  1. another CS MS program student here.... i have also not heard from them since admission.. !! jaycee what do you mean by "middle of processing for residency acceptance"? i submitted my SLR when i accepted their admission offer but, haven't heard anything since then.... no news about housing as well..!!
  2. I am deciding between these two schools for MS degree in CS. my interest is in Computer Architecture/Embedded Systems. I think UCSD has stronger Comp. Architecture program but i am leaning toward LA as it has a better social scene. this is going to be a really tough choice for me and all your comments will be appreciated...
  3. They are both great schools. But I think Wisc is better in computer architecture research. They have some well known professors doing interesting work over there. I would say If money is no problem for you then go to Wisconsin. Otherwise you can go to Michigan and apply again after you get you MS.

I got accepted to both UCLA and UCSD, so right now I am still not sure which one i'll attend. I know that I wont be having a car for now, at least for the first quarter. So I was looking at areas near the campus. I also like to be close to coffee shops, restaurant, clubs, bars, beach etc But why are you saying your life improved when you moved away from la jolla? where are you living currently and how far is it to the campus? thank you

thank you, very useful info. But it seems mesa and coast have a very long waiting list! Anyway, I've put my name on the list, let's see what happens.

I was browsing the grad housing website and it seems that there are four residential communities available to students.
