mcstev13: I notice you are applying to Harvard too. I guess you are also applying to the Chemistry and chemical biology program. May I ask a quick question about Harvard SOP? "For the Statement of Purpose, please provide a brief statement, not exceeding 300 words, of your scientific and professional interests and objectives. For Research Accomplishments, please provide a statement, not exceeding 500 words, of your research accomplishments or current projects. " SOP and research accomplishments? Should I make these two separate parts of my essays? Thanks a lot.

Hey is your problem with UC Berkeley because I have the exact same problem. I sent my GRE scores some time in early September, and my status was updated to "Received" after about a week. I only received my Toefl score in October, and my status was also updated. However just a few days ago I notice my GRE score status was changed to "Not received" and I am very panicked. Don't know when and why it's like that. I also received a mailed score report with the list of schools where I wanted it sent. So you contacted the grad office and they said they never received your scores? How could that be? I guess I should try to contact grad office asap, and if the same thing happen I have to give ETS a call.

The status for my test scores at Berkeley was "received" for quite a while. Yesterday I checked and somehow (don't know since when) it has become "not received". I'm panicked!!! Has anyone been in this situation before?

Has anyone of you submitted your application yet? Do you have any idea when is the earliest time Stanford notifies if one is rejected/admitted. I read previous year threads and it seems that Harvard usually responds pretty late, but Stanford can be as early as December. I'm not sure if anyone has heard from it even earlier since it has rolling admission.
