  1. I have received some aid from NYU (50 % tuition waiver). I also got into Columbia but have received no aid, and the NYU course seems a better fit for me anyway, so I'm most definitely going to NYU. As for my background: I'm currently completing an integrated master's in Economics in India and have interned at several of the top publications in the country. Have you heard back from NYU yet?
  2. Yep. I'm not getting anything from them. NYU ho!
  3. Hello bywaystar, I am international student from India and have been accepted to BER. I found out around 20th of March. Maybe you should email the department asking about the status of your application?
  4. Hello everyone, I am international student from India who has been accepted to Columbia (for print) and NYU (for Business and Economic Reporting). While the NYU course is more specific to what I want to do, it's hard to pass up on Columbia and the prestige and networks it comes with. Could anyone with a clue help me out with this? I'm really confused right now.
  5. Application status has changed to 'Application Complete'. We'll probably find out today.
  6. coastalvintagechic, I'm sort of meh about Columbia after getting into NYU and yeah, maybe we will! Despite being different concentrations we'll probably have some common courses, especially in the first semester.
  7. coastalvintagechic, I've been accepted to USC, Medill, CUNY and NYU as of now. The only other place I applied to was Columbia, which I haven't heard from, but I think I'd pick NYU over it anyway.
  8. Got into NYU for Business and Economic reporting program with some funding! Super excited.
  9. coastalvintagechic, yeah, coming from India, I'm seriously dreading the winters. Where I'm from, anything below 86 degrees is "winter" since i plan to pursue business reporting, both chicago and NY would be great, but i'm leaning toward NY a little bit as of now.
  10. Got in with Sulzberger scholarship! Still waiting on NYU and Columbia though.
  11. coastalvintagechic, If you don't mind my asking, why wouldn't you want to live in Chicago? I'm an international student who will most likely end up at Medill, so I'd like to know the pros and cons of Chicago beforehand.
  12. Applied: USC, Medill, NYU (Business and Economic Reporting), Columbia, CUNY Accepted: Medill, USC Haven't heard from any of the others.
  13. Any international students heard from CUNY yet?
