@Elle Vagabonde @Nirvik got accepted to the Business and Economic reporting program at NYU. No funding though. Any ideas anybody has about external funding would be super grateful for some info.

Business and Economic Reporting (BER) at NYU

Hey, @lena_zhangI emailed the admissions office and they told me the notifications will start in the 'coming week, so hopefully we'll both get the good news this coming week or the next. I don't have any journalism experience but I have a strong business background being a chartered accountant with 2 years of financial experience. The professors were really encouraging though, and happy with my background so I'm hopeful. -
Hey anybody here apply to the Business and Economic reporting concentration at NYU? What background are you from? Did you hear anything from the school yet?

Hi, I read this article recently about students financing their masters degree through multiple small scholarships. Small businesses in most states offer scholarships for around USD 1000-1500 to students who apply for them by writing a 500-700 word essay on a given topic. Having applied to Columbia myself (haven't heard from them about admission yet) I know it costs A TON of money. So tell her to apply for small scholarships, I know its a hassle but passing up Columbia because of a little hardwork is INSANE. I am seriously freaking out now. I got so hopeful because I scored a skype 'conversation' with the professors but now I'm worried. Is getting an interview an indication of anything at all?

Hey I applied to Arizona State University, NYU and Columbia for Masters in Journalism and have been accepted to ASU. No word on funding yet they said they'll get back to me in a few days. Where have you guys applied and received funding from (if any). What external options are there for funding especially for international students (I am one)? Oh and if you got an acceptance letter from any of the three I mentioned, please tell me about it.

Hey I got an interview with the director of the program I applied to at NYU. Does this do anything for my chances? I got the impression they try to interview as many students as possible although its not part of the application process.

Hi, I applied to NYU for MA in Business and Economic Reporting, had a skype interview with the Director and one of the Professors of the program and it was promising. But I haven't received any letters as such, should I be worried? I am freaking out a little. Also @Nirvik what program did your brother apply to?
