Pnictides got a reaction from saturation in Fall 2012 Chemistry
Well to be fair, Harvard receives lots of qualified applicants, so they don't have time to send rejection letters right off the bat. They have to worry about the top students first.

So you are saying it would have been nicer if she had not received a rejection letter at all (since she already knew she was rejected anyways)? What if it was possible that there were more than 1 visitation weekend and that she could have gotten an acceptance later for the 2nd visitation date but didn't due to not having high statistics?

Pnictides reacted to chaospaladin in first generation students
On a given academic year on average, does anyone know what percent of PhD students in USA are first generation college students and what percent of PhD students are first generation PhD students?

Pnictides got a reaction from saturation in What exactly is "research fit"?
I am still a 2nd year student, so I will take that class in Fall 2012. Don't you mean "Angewandte Chemie"?
Also regarding impact factor, what is the cut off for the index for the journal to be considered "A-Level"? People are saying I should try to work for a PI that has lots of publications in high impact journals.
