Hey all! So I saw that several people got into the program recently but there doesn't seem to be any discussion. I was recently rejected but felt I was a good applicant high GPA, museum experience, decent scores. For those of you who got in, mind telling me your information? Thanks!

Hi! Ya I did. I heard back the other day that I was also accepted. I know UT Austin is an amazing school and city but UT Knoxville is also a good school and close to family so I really don't know which one I would choose if I were to get into both. But I am hoping for options.

I am in a grad program now but the school is very limiting and I applied to UMass Boston last minute. I got in and was pretty excited about it but now I'm having second thoughts since I've been hearing some not so great information on the school in general. I wanted to know if anyone has any information on how good the archaeology program is to help me decide if its worth going to. Thanks!

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the area. I am looking all over to find information about where to live in Boston. Do you know any good sites?

Hey Karma, Like the previous poster I don't know about that specific program but I can tell you that I am in grad school now in Florida but I'm transferring to UMass Boston because the program isn't what I was expecting in terms of research, and I was told by my professor here that if I got in I should most definitely go. That in it of itself says something. I hope that helps!

Hey! I'm going for the Fall semester i Historical Archaeology. Anyone else going there too?

I know this has been talked to death but many of these replies were submitted more than a year ago so I don't know if the information is still valid. I am moving to Boston this summer, ( I am going to UMass ) and I wanted to know where I can live cheaply but still relatively close to school. I am 22 and like having roommates so that isn't an issue. Any info would be a great help. Thanks!

I am freaking out as well. I am accepted at one school which is already having people sign up for classes and waitlisted at another that I would rather go to. I am hoping to get some word today or tomorrow. I have been putting off accepting my other offer in hopes of getting into this one. I just want to know already!!!! Gah!

I'm waitlisted at Umass Boston. I was told I'm number 2 on the list. I REALLY want to go to this school. But a few months ago the DGS had told me the year before no one declined their acceptance there. And this year since every program is cutting their acceptances I think that those who were accepted will go some place else.. I don't have much hope

Hey, I'm going a bit crazy over here. I was accepted to one program already but I really want to go to UMass Boston. I have only heard from one person they were admitted and accepted the offer. Anyone here been accepted but debating on declining? I just wanted to know if I have any chance of getting in. I was told that last year no one declined... Thanks for the info!
