  1. visiting on the 15th for chemistry, but haven't accepted offer yet. excited~~~
  2. I've been using Google maps to get street views and also wiki. I don't want to develop a biased expectation before getting there, but yes it's been like some sort of obsession since the time I took the GREs. Congrats nechalo! I didn't apply to Davis, but seems like we're in a similar situation. Good luck on your travels.
  3. This topic is similar to the one about Purdue, but for PSU. I only saw several updates for PSU chemistry in the results section and wondered why no one really talks about it even though it is near the top 20. For those that are familiar with the department, how is it over there? I will find out myself in March, but I'm dying of curiosity. Anyone feeling the same way with their schools?
  4. Yeah. I was surprised that some heard back already!

  6. Congrats to everyone who's made it this far and gotten acceptances! Are all Purdue invites out? Applied for inorganic/materials.
  7. I have one that gives $1500 to every incoming graduate student for their research, books, and travel expenses. With fellowship and stipend, it boosts the amount to nearly 30k for the year...very enticing indeed compared to my other offers, but I feel that it all comes down to how well your interests fit with the program. I'm also a little stuck with planning my visits because there are two that sit on the same weekend. I've been staring at my invitations for quite a while now.. : ( It's silly. March is going to be one heck of a month as well.
  8. I had a dream last night that a school offered me a $1/day stipend. Got trolled. : (
  9. Heard back from Delaware and Penn State. Anyone else applying there? : ) For those that got offers by email, how long does it take for the official letters to arrive?
