  1. A bit late, but can you send that PM my way too? Thnx ;-)
  2. Greetings. I got admitted to my second choice school (let's say, it's SIPA) with fellowship funding for 2013. Based on a number of reasons, including family and finances, I have decided to defer the offer for a year. During this year, I plan to apply other (more prestigious) schools in hopes of getting a degree from a well-known school (internationally, particularly in my home country) and more funding. I understand I will lose the deposit for both accptance and deferral, if, at the end, I choose not to attend. Nowadays, my questions are: 1. May I apply to other programs while holding deferred acceptance? 2. Considering I decide after all to go to this school, will the fellowship funding offer carry on or do I lose it because of deferral? Please advise.
  3. I asked the school about this and this is what I was told: "That is an urban legend – a complete myth. The evaluators do not care (nor do they necessarily know) whether you have waived your rights or not. The only difference is whether you’ll be able to view your letters next year (if you are admitted) upon your request to see your file." Hope this helps.
  4. That actually worked! Thanks, cherub. I was freaking out. The application deadline already passed. This school gives the referees additional time to submit their LoRs. I thought I could no longer modify anything on my application. But I was wrong. Thanks again.
  5. Hi everyone, One of my referees has lost access to his email account. Don't really know the specifics, but received an email addressed to the admission's office that also cc-ed me. He asks the admissions office send the recommendation request to his other account, his official email address (@gov). He is a government minister and his time is PRECIOUS. If they don't send the recommendation request to his other address, I am afraid he won't be able to recommend me. And I will scr*d. Forget acceptance, forget gradschool!!!! What do I do?? The recommendations are due this Friday, Dec. 14. He is the only one left to complete my application. Please help!!! Is there any hope for me?
  6. Hi Amit28it, I hope this helps. Let us signify W for WALL-E and H for Homer clones. For the legs we have the following equation: 4W+2H=128. Divided by 2 to simplify, we get 2W+1H=64. For the donuts we have this equation: 2W+5H=184. Now, we solve for both equations. Let us multiply the legs equation by -1. We get -2W-1H=-64. Adding both equations, we get 0W+4H=120 or 4H=120. Solving for H, we get 30. Inserting the 30 for H in any one of our initial equation, we solve for W and get 17. Therefore, there are 17 WALL-E clones.
