Hi everyone, I am a current grad student at USC. My friend and I are looking for a roommate to live in a 3BD2BR apartment in Chinatown (the roommate would share a bathroom with me). Rent would be $650/mo with a security deposit of $975. There are 2 parking spots in a gated garage and street parking. There is a washer/dryer in the unit and central heating/AC. Still waiting on a final decision. Apparently, they're trying to figure out funding.

I applied to the PhD program at the same school that I am currently working on my MS during my first year. My grad adviser was the one who actually told me that that was even a possibility. Otherwise, I would have waited to finish my MS, then apply for PhD programs. I'm not sure how your programs would feel about you applying to PhD programs at other schools, but if it's at the same school, I don't see why it's a problem. You would basically just continue on the path you are on and continue with the PhD program with funding.

I emailed the grad advisor at USC, who said that they have sent acceptances to those receiving fellowships. They're still reviewing apps, though, and hope to notify everyone by March 15th.
