  1. Ok cool!!! I'll see you in San Antonio.
  2. I submitted my application on 12/26/2014 and received an interview by email on 1/12/2014. After speaking to the assistant dean for admission, it appears that they're going to have two interview weekends: one on Feb 6-8 (which I'm attending) and Feb 20-22. I believe that they do rolling admission, so don't throw in the towel yet! Good luck:-)
  3. Currently as a MS student in the process of applying to Ph.D. programs I included undergraduate presentations/publications on my CV. This included presentations done at my institution (annual university research conference), national conferences, and summer research programs. For the purposes of applying to Ph.D. programs depending on your discipline, you want to include every presentation/publication that is relevant to the program that you are applying to for graduate school even if this includes stuff done as a ug or master's student. Regarding the "selected publications" section on your CV, this would only come into play when you are applying for post-doc positions, but if you don't have any publications then whatever you have should suffice until you build up your selection. I hope that this helps:-)
  4. Just give me the rejection already UW!!!!
  5. Hi Microarray, I got an interview at Indiana University-Bloomington for their Microbiology Program. Good luck on your interview at Michigan State:-)
  6. I was in a similar situation like yours where I took the GRE with a month of preparation and scored in the high 140's for both verbal/math with my AW score being a 4.0. I retook the GRE thinking that I would get a much higher score with two months of studying and I was in shock when I received my scores. My verbal score decreased, quant increased, and my AW went down to 3.5. With that said I still applied and I just got a interview at one of the schools that I applied to for a Ph.D. in Microbiology. I would recommend still applying, because you'll never know the outcome until you do. I also agree with katethekitcat, fit is more important than your stats, so make sure to convince the admission committee that you are a great fit for their program. There's still hope. Don't give up yet!!!
  7. I just got my first interview at Indiana University for their Microbiology Program:-)
