Ok so since no one can offer any proof, I'm doing it. I'm goin' in. I'm contacting two POIs and just make some kind of contact. No one can offer any proof other than it might annoy them, but then again, students often annoy professors on a daily basis. A little sucking up and a few questions cant hurt.
I havent I just emailed them because I cant take the sick feeling anymore-----ironic after I've been trying to help calm nerves these past few weeks in this group we have. and its one of my top choices. ERG
They said both emails and snail mail - it doesnt matter which you will get we'll hear back BEGINNING TOMORROW! so dont be alarmed if you dont get anything in email or the mail since they are mixing it up - this is straight from graduate admissions coordinator
congrats to people that have heard something already!!
And chin up people that have been rejected. We all applied to multiple schools for this very reason so there is still time and opportunities to get good news.
I also unsubscribed from all the stuff I signed up for because of my gmail tab popping up with a (1) and my heart skipping a beat at the sight of it. My heart can't take anymore
A professor at my school who is on the committee there said that GRE scores dont really matter in the grand scheme of things: it is only used as a cut off when there are applicants that are equally strong in everything else. I don't know if that is just for this particular school, but I assume it's pretty close to the same reasoning, especially if there are people that get accepted with scores below 700 (verbal).
Dont worry about the transcript not getting there. If your application is strong and of interest (which clearly it is), they will wait for it most definitely. Some schools take a scanned copy of your transcript and dont ask for the official ones unless you're accepted Cornell and Emory). Ask them if thats okay for now.
