Can anyone make a post for MFA programs in Europe and UK etc. with excellant funding and scholarship? (others with non prerequisite Fullbright, DAAD, Erasmus, and not for NFP countries)

Thanks for the info. OutWest Anyone knows this also apply to International Applicants? I hear some listed schools offer only TA scholarship, no more.

It's April.2 Has anyone received a financial aid email from CalArts?

Who has awarded any merit based scholarships from the school as an international student? I have admitted to many high ranked schools that appears to have almost no scholarship support for international graduates student. I was aware this before during my BFA study in US. It seems like I have applied to wrong schools for the financial needs.

I got exact same hand written note on the letter. It's a spam note. Parsons trying to appeal their financial needs obviously.

Still waiting for the CalArts admission to decide a Skype interview schedule! The in-person interview at CalArts is planned on Mar.8. Will there be any downside if the Skype interview held after Mar.8th? Did anyone have the Skype interview already?

Hello. As an artist, not a full time designer in a career goal, many of artist doing their career by their own which make more sense as an Artist. There are some ways to present your works through gallery or exhibition, festival, competition etc. But how about agency dealing art practice not only a commercial design? There are many design firms doing visual interactive media, but most of them are focused on graphic design, web interactive etc for the money. I have work experience in graphic / multimedia design for years, also had couple internships at the design team in some major broadcasting corporation. Now I am seeking an agency or company cover art direction or installation practice, not a 2D design. I like United Visual Artist or similar with them based on UK or Europe. I see there are corporate teams for the individual artists. Besides a fellowship in gallery or organization, teaching position at the school.. how do you think?

I am from the east coast, and did not apply to many grad schools in the west coast.. doing interviews and scheduled from other grad schools these days. my main focus area is Art & Technology, maybe also New Genres too. what are the good grad schools in the west coast for this study?

Hello people. I was in design field many years and changed direction to new media/genre installation. it goes mainly with digital medium, but not a interactive/interface 'Design' or game stuff. it does physical 'Art' installation with various mediums with a taste of technologic methodology. eg.Projector and Screen, Video/Spatial Art installation.. It is very usual that new media / new genres art permeates into design&technology area / interdisciplinary in many aspects of it. It is undeniable the difference between Art & Design despite of all the alluring curriculums in many art/design schools. Personally, it shouldn't have a word 'Design' in any of department. Plus, it should not imposing Nerd Tech-toy nor Multimedia,Hard-Programing. Still, it is very tricky to find a place to fit into Fine Art department in any art schools, since it is not categorized under Sculpture or Film. Therefore, New Genres, Media Art, Art & Technology, Interrelated/Interdisciplinary are being considered for MFA. Some of famous artists : James Turrell, Olafur Eliasson, Lafael Rozano Hemmer etc. Any thoughts?
