  1. Childhood special and general education thank you for responding!
  2. Hunter= very low tuition, not as caring and personal, not as great fieldworks, but VERY low tuition and still a good reputation vs. Bank Street= Extremely personal and individualized, great fieldworks and the program directors really work with you to find a good fit for you, great reputation, but Very high tuition. I am at a loss of what to do, I keep hearing great things about Bank Street and ordinary info about Hunter, any advice would be so helpful!!!!

  4. Hello everyone, I was accepted to both NYU and Bank Street for MA programs in Education, and was wondering if anyone would be able to give me any advice. My top choice, Bank Street, offered me a small amount of scholarship money per year, while NYU, which I only really applied to as a back up, offered me double the amount per year. I never truly considered going to NYU, as I heard Bank Street is way better for education, and am now considering going to NYU because I have 12,000+ more offered in scholarship money. Would it at all be wise to meet with financial aid at Bank Street, or my Program Director and explain my situation? Especially since they know how much I do want to go Bank Street.... Thanks in advance for the advice, and if anyone has any other input on the two schools I would love to hear!
  5. I applied to four schools; Hunter, Columbia, NYU, and Bank Street, the deadlines varied from January 15 to March 15, they are for MA programs for Childhood dual Special Education. I recieved acceptance to one school today (my second choice- Bank Street), with a letter saying I must confirm my attendance within 30 days of the dated letter (which was March 8). What do I do? because I still am waiting to hear back from my first choice- Hunter (I applied mid February), but their deadline has not even passed! And soon I need to confirm with Bank Street about attendance. Any advice would be helpful!
  6. Basically, I want to know if it is precocious and demanding to email a member on the admissions committee whom I have previously coressponded with, to find out when notifications will be sent out regarding admissions.
  7. I am applying to these four schools for a M.A. in Childhood General/Special Education, and was wondering if anyone can tell me the differences between them, if they are generally hard to get into etc. Honestly ANY information would be helpful :-). NYU Steinhardt Columbia Teachers College Bank Street Hunter And possibly Long Island University- LIU
