Well another Yale admit popped up on the board. It might have been someone just entering late. Who knows?

I have to say, if this is another troll on the board, it is pretty terrible. I wouldn't want to feed false information and make people more anxious. I just don't understand why anyone would want to do that... >.<

This is a little bit of all of the above. I spoke with the DGS at Vandy a few weeks ago after being admitted. She wanted to congratulate me, chat, see if I had questions, and figure out where Vandy fell in my list of schools to find out if she should pull out all of the stops. It was pretty informal, and I wouldn't stress about it.

For UMD, I am surprised that you haven't received your letter, but I am not surprised about the visit. There is no official visit, you have to arrange it individually. I am working with the DGS now to arrange mine.

I agree with these. Can we please refrain from calls to decline offers? People will do so when they are good and ready to make a decision. Your calls for it just makes people stressed and feel bad. Thanks!

Claiming a USC POIR rejection. Fine by me because I really didn't want to move to California. No hard feelings for this one.

Here's hoping for a busier day since this week has been fairly quiet. That being said, congratulations to all of the admits this week! You all got into great programs. Hopefully more good news will be out today for everyone!

Get off your high horse. There is no reason to be upset. She was asking a legitimate question, and here is the place to do that. If you really are that upset that you got rejected from Michigan, wait a year, build up your credentials, and try again next year. There is no reason to take out your frustration on someone else.

After conferring with others and trying to understand the ambiguous email, I will claim one of the UMD acceptances! Goodness, things have gotten a bit busy/crazy around here!
