I promise I'll be back in two weeks. I have to get through finals and graduate. Thinking about finding an apartment from afar and moving is freaking me out. Thorslilcuz - PM me when you get a chance and let's exchange info? Would be nice to at least know someone in our cohort! Re stipends - yep. I'll probably have to get something part-time just to keep the lights on. Even if rent is $530, I can't see how it's all going to stretch...

@Thorslilcuz - me too. I live on my own now and I really want to see if I can find a quiet little apt somewhere off campus. @Jaylizzle - are you in the political psych program too? I don't plan on moving until August, tho - which is kinda stressing me out. My TA begins 8/16. I need to work this summer for some "extra" (hahahahaha) $$$$. It's really cool to pre-meet the cohort!

I just accepted an offer to WSU for the fall - also in Political Psychology! No idea re housing options at the moment. I need to get through the next 5 days and graduate before I can wrap my mind around moving across country.

Ok, Spain applicants - I took one for the team and officially accepted my grad school offer. This means, by the laws of God laughing, we should hear in about, oh....5...4...3....2....

What should I do? My deadline to accept the offer to my grad school is the 15th (which is Sunday, so really - do they mean Friday? Or Monday?) I STILL haven't heard re Fulbright (Spain, Full). I'm going to wait one more day but by tomorrow, I feel like really need to contact my school. It's the only offer I received; it's full funding, with a TA Stipend, and I'm very much interested in working with the professors there. So what happens? Do I accept the offer and then if I get the Fulbright, ask for a deferral? Should I be upfront and honest with them that I'm waiting to hear back and if I hear, I'll definitely accept? Or do I just accept and then hope like crazy they will defer/be understanding? ARRRGGHH!!!!

Yes. Rejected ( ) to the PhD program. Already accepted elsewhere so I'm ok, but - bummer.

It isn't impossible to go from your BA to a Ph.D program - I am (Unless of course, the Fulbright comes through, at which point the Ph.D is going to have to wait!) It's not easy - I've been working for 4 years to make myself a viable doctoral candidate, but it can be done. I wouldn't rule it out.

Hi! I applied to the PhD for Peaces Studies/political science.....no word yet. ARGH! I broke down and called yesterday afternoon and was told that decisions have been made in some departments. She said keep checking your online application - that they will update the status online and then mail out the notifications. Still nothing, even though I check approximately every 1.384762 seconds.

Yes. I got a phone call last Friday and acceptance letter on Tuesday - political science PhD.

Mine would be in BCN and Madrid. When we get there (ok, so I'm trying to be super-positive!) we'll have to get together!
