I'm at Minnesota and welcome your questions via PM. It's my first year in the program, so I might not be able to answer every question, but I'll do my best to do so.

I've accepted Minnesota's offer! Very happy and excited to start my studies with the great faculty and grad students they have there.

I recently turned down funded offers from UC Irvine, UC Santa Cruz, and Toronto (all in political theory). Hope this helps some wait-listed people.

Congrats to you and Matt Dander! I also received an offer. Like you, I'm surprised by the narrow decision window. I'm trying to plan a visit before the deadline. Hopefully I can make it happen.

I don't know if McGill or UC Santa Barbara have theory folks on wait-lists, but I declined their respective offers over the past couple of days. Hope this helps other deserving candidates.

I received an offer from McGill on Feb. 4th. I also recently received a rejection for UBC and am waiting to hear from Toronto. Who are you waiting to hear from? Best of luck!

I'm also waiting on Toronto. From what an adviser has told me about most Canadian schools, they typically don't get around to releasing decisions until late February or early March. Hope you hear good news from Toronto.
