My sense from visiting the department recently is that they really encourage interdisciplinarity. I know that doesn't answer your question directly but it seems there will be alot of freedom for you to piece together your classes and ultimately your committee based on the resources available at Stanford as well as in the area. You can take classes in the UC system and even have a faculty member from another institution on your committee. If you feel that the resources available to you at Stanford and in the area are enough for you to gain the types of quantitative skills you are looking for I think it might be a great place to be.

Hi Anxious Anthro, I got my Yale admission offer a few days ago but other people had already received theirs by then so I also assumed rejection or waitlist. I hope this helps. I hope you get an offer!

Hi wheninhell, I got an official offer from Davis on February 9th. I was unofficially informed before then and they are still trying to figure out funding. They also asked me for my official transcripts in the beginning of February before being officially accepted. My sense is that their process is staged and that not all decisions about funding etc...have been made yet. Best of luck!!

My sense is that the CUNY process happens in stages in the way you are describing it. While I heard from the program early, in an informal way I didn't get my official acceptance letter and the funding package until two days ago. I think some of it has to do with the limited fellowships/funding they can give out and it seems like with other public institutions, their limited funding requires them to accept/waitlist/reject in stages. Hi TJ89 I think Stanford notifications go out very soon. I thought they were supposed to at the end of this week but it looks like it might be this coming week.

I just got an email from the POI and the formal offer was attached. I applied for sociocultural. I really think they are just sending out letters though. I really hope you get in newleaf! Best of luck!!!

I also just heard from Yale about an interview before February 15th.

I applied to Davis and was informally accepted yesterday by email. Not sure about their funding. My sense however is that they are still reviewing applications. Good luck!
