  1. Congrats! I am still waiting on a decision--hopefully this will be the week!
  2. Had a dream last night of a rejection. I looked online this morning and the "in review" status was actually a relief!

  3. I'm not sure if this will help, since programs at Berkeley may each have their own timeline, but I was told (from a POI) that decisions would be made in March. So...we made it to March!
  4. Wildviolet, I understand your feelings. I was talking to a friend recently about the fear of being waitlisted and feeling like I am second-best (which is a very difficult feeling for a competitive person to accept). She pointed out that it is not how we start that matters; what matters is how we finish. In the end, you would finish with the same degree as those who were not on the wait list, proving that you were indeed a qualified member of the department.
  5. Hi everybody, Ive been lurking on this thread for a while and finally decided to join the conversation. The program for which I am applying at Cal has their interview weekend in late February and decisions in April (according to the website). Of course, that has not stopped me from obsessively checking the results page since the beginning of January. I am currently on a self-imposed ban on checking the application status during the workweek. But, in a moment of weakness, I checked it last night. At least I made it to Thursday night, right?
  6. For dinners, I like to cook family-sized batches and freeze them in portions for two. Over time, a variety of dinner options are available in the freezer for weekday dinners. Breads are really good if you freeze them when they are fresh and reheat them in the toaster oven. The bread makes the whole kitchen smell delicious and tastes so good. I am not much of a morning person, so breakfast is usually a bowl of cereal and coffee. But if I am in a rush, slim fast works in a pinch and keeps me full until lunch. (Dont judge me!) Mix it with coffee and it tastes like a mocha! My husband and I also have containers of almonds and dried apricots (bought in bulk at costco) at our desk for between-meal snacks.
  7. Hi rpaulson30! I am new to the forum, too. It's good to see another Special Ed person on the board. Congratulations on your meeting! I applied to Texas, too, but haven't heard from them yet. Hope you have a successful meeting!
