Congrats to everyone that has gotten accepted somewhere! I hope to hear back from my programs soon! (Still haven't heard a thing.)
Then I can join in the celebrations. =)
Got a call from a number I didn't recognize. I was so hopeful that I was finally going to hear from one of my programs. Nope. It was the photography studio taking care of my school's senior portraits calling to remind me of my appointment.
Also, I emailed Chicago to see if they were done with admits. No word yet, but I'll inform anyone wondering once/if I hear back.
I'd like to know about Yale, too. Also, if I remember correctly, one of the interviews was supposedly going to happen today. I'd like to know how it went.
Though I'm more of a lurker, I agree. This board is too quiet. I need it to entertain me to take away some of the pain associated with waiting for decisions.
On a more optimistic note, University of Washington's website says that they make decisions by the middle of February and then send out notifications. It is mid-February, so hopefully we'll hear from them soon. =)
I was just reading another topic regarding whether it is good/bad to contact professors before applying to programs. I then got to thinking about contacting professors in general. I thought that I had generally read that after applying, you are not really supposed to contact professors to try to persuade them to want to work with you, but it's possible that this advice was wrong considering what some people on the other board said about contacting professors they are interested in working with. Should I have been contacting my POIs? Is it too late to do so?
I know the feeling. I haven't heard back from any schools either. I'm just assuming Chicago is a rejection at this point, seeing as they already sent out a bunch of acceptances. I just want to get some sort of response from my schools soon!
Just got an email from WashU, and my heart leapt a little. It was just them confirming that they received an update I submitted for my application a little while back. I can't take the waiting anymore!
I'm a finalist for an ETA, but I wasn't told to submit any passport-sized photos either. To those talking about it, does it say to do so on their website or did the email tell you submit the photos?
This girl's writing sample is based on her experience living in Cairo, witnessing the revolts that lead to the ouster of former President Hosni Mubarak? Wow, she's awesome. We should totally accept her despite her slightly lower stats than other applicants.
=P Wishful thinking, I suppose.
