Two rejections, six more to go!

So I'm out at Michigan from their last blast of emails. Still nothing from UCLA. Still nothing from Chicago. Still nothing from everyone else. Is it over folks? I'm out at Chicago, but am I also out at UCLA (IR)?

Congratulations! I applied to a different subfield, and most of them already got their acceptances so I shouldn't be hopeful, but hell why not. I'm still getting in! RESPOND TO ME UNIVERSE!

From one of the Michigan rejection notes: "email from Mika LaVaque-Manty, said lots of applicants, passed on many because of faculty fit, same nonsense. So glad I have one acceptance down." Why bother? Just blast us all with a copy-paste email already!!! I'm really not excited about waiting just to hear about how I was rejected with a slight personalization to it.
