those entries are fake and am sure of that. But the entries on 7th feb are valid ones. I guess ppl who didnt get e-mails after that are rejects. I called the office and they sorta ducked that question :-(

the first mail you got is from a professor? And going by your post date,did you get any official admit mail from EECS dept?

I have applied for MS + Ph.D in dept of EECS,MIT for this fall. I read many results being posted about the admissions. Is there any admit who can shed us some details. i observed that most of the admits are computer science and I felt electrical engineering admissions are not yet released. also i read in a thread that results maybe updated in application website on feb 15 and they are not saying the application status in phone. Does it mean all admits are informed and the persons who didnt get admit mail are rejected? is there any successful candidates from India?

it is a bit hazy about interview dates. I think it is open house and visit days. I too applied for MS + PhD in MIT EECS. Disappointed that i couldn't get in. Second year in a row :-(

i am an international applicant...i got rejected..dont pin your hope on mirage...call them and get your result

it seems so fleur...when i asked about my status,she asked me to mail me for it...then upon my insistence,she checked out and said I didnt make it up...but not everybody will call them i think...people who are in gradcafe only do...

rejected.......phoned them and got the result...atlast the END

ya its a good idea...call them and post what they say you..pls..let us ease ourselves today...

these people say so..i dont think so..i think status update will be on early march..BUT,it is better to see the rejestion than to wait for the rejection

my friend called them to ask the status and they said they wouldnot comply to those personal requests...

Lol..ofcourse...for the admits it will be an acceptance only....

simple..they didn't give out rejections because they'll release it according to the scheduled dates...thats it...we saw in eecs calender that grad admissions roundup was done on 1,2 and 3rd feb but results came out on 10th..its just pre planned..so the rejections are done and will come on early march

fleur..comeon..it is said in Graduate FAQ that results will be posted rather than mailed...so far only admits are mailed..which means there is no rejection mails sent...and moreover,the site says people will be notified in february which is done..our application website says to login early march to see admission decisions..which means rejection notifications will be on early march in our website

i saw in gradcafe results survey that people are notified of their waitlisted status......which means we are rejected...not even 0.0001 p.c of hope..

That's a much required news...Must thankyou for that..Can you say more details that you acquired? Whether all the admitted persons are informed of the decision and only the official reject notifications are released next friday, or many of the admit results are gonna be released next friday only...

yep..am too disappointed with the results..but i wonder how you didnot get into MIT after this much credits..

it seems the results have come for all areas...

no mail about the status... Any international applicant got word from mit?

I applied for M.S + Ph.D programme.. International Applicant CGPA :3.59/4 from a ordinary college... IELTS : 8 out of 9 IEEE Student chairman of the college presented in two international IEEE conferences and both of them published in IEEE Xplore. had a lot of passion to research and get seat in MIT...alas.... I got no email. Guess it's a rejection then !! Congrats to all the admits...rock on !!
