  1. Hey there! I've applied to the BC Curriculum and Instruction PhD program - anyone heard back from them yet? Thanks!
  2. Hey everyone! Just getting a little antsy bout this one so thought I'd put it out there - anyone heard from Lynch School of Education (Boston College) Curriculum and Instruction PhD? Thanks!
  3. Well good luck! Let me know if you decide on Penn. You know where to find me off course!
  4. Ahhh! Now I know! Congrats on Harvard! Guess this makes your decision even more difficult!
  5. I know I am! Are you there too?
  6. Where are you headed?
  7. Exceptionally happy for you! Way to go!
  8. And yes, congratulations to everybody on this forum! I only wish I'd joined earlier!
  9. Just checked! I'm innnnn! But I'll turn it down immediately, off course! Is there a waitlist at Harvard?
  10. Sounds good to me! It would be really helpful!
  11. Haha! I'm placed not too far! Bangalore! This forum is addictive! I check in every couple of hours to see the latest posts! Its a psychological thing, I guess. And maybe the ego-kick of getting into Harvard (if I do). When you give an exam, the thought of the result always gnaws at the back of your head till its finally out, even if the said exam has no bearing on your life. I just want to know and get it over with!
  12. 1222 PM. Damn! This day just keeps getting longer! So would HGSE send in a decision at a sane-r or insane-r hour!?
  13. Lucky! On a slightly different topic, what time is it there!? Long day ahead! Where in India are you?
  14. A friend's waiting on Berkeley Culture and Society (or the equivalent). Any word?
  15. Super happy for everybody! Now if only Harvard would put us out of our misery!
  16. My Tuesday comes before everyone else's (Damn you, different timezones!) This is going to be a long, long, long, long day.
  17. Congratulations everybody! Wow! This is just such great news! So happy for you all!
  18. Stanford didn't want me either! All the other schools I applied to, thankfully did!
  19. Congrats!!! Super happy for you!
  20. Hey everybody! Considering that the wait for results (and fall) is killing me, I thought of innovative ways to distract myself. I started thinking back to when I first decided to apply for Grad school and the whole process. The research, finding programmes that fit etc. and I realised, there are very few forums available for Education Grad students. In fact, the only rankings etc I found were US News rankings, and I didn't like their methodology much! So I thought, what better to evaluate GSE than asking people who're applying to them! Write below, one Grad school you'd apply to and why, and one you would not apply to and why.
  21. No problem! And yes, my choice is made! Still doesn't make me less nervous about Harvard though! And why don't you email the people at Lynch? They're pretty quick to respond.
  22. I believe acceptances are always sent out first.
  23. Thanks for the update! Damn! Butterflies in my stomach!
  24. I was speaking to someone in Penn and they told me that Higher Ed is one of the most popular programmes at GSE, so they usually have a lot of applications to review. So maybe that's what's taking time? Congrats! Why don't you join the facebook accepted students page? I think I saw a couple of Language and Literacy people there. Btw, what programme have you applied for in Lynch? I'd applied to the Applied Developmental Psychology programme and heard from them almost 3 weeks ago.
