Sort of related question, maybe. How do you stay on good terms with poi's at schools you won't be attending, but you may want to work with in the future?

Has anyone, during an interview, asked: now what? More formally, what the timeline would be for notification? Or should you not mention it?

Hi, I've contacted the NSF people but haven't heard back for some time. I'm wondering how to resend a request for a letter of recommendation...Does anything know how to do this? I don't see a 'resend' button...

Using the word 'my'
Graham17 replied to Graham17's topic in Statement of Purpose, Personal History, Diversity

hi all, I noticed that 2% of the words used in my SOP are 'my.' Just curious as to whether this is common for other people, or if you have found ways around using the word... It seems I can avoid using 'my' so frequently but that comes at a cost of increasing the length of the SOP. Any thoughts/suggestions?
