I chose Columbia for the location, if I didn't get into Columbia (i got waitlisted at NYU) i don't know what I would have done. I was considering Medill, but i want to concentrate in magazine journalism, and NYC is perfect for that. That's basically what motivated me to choose - but then, it depends on your specialization.

I applied to NYU, Columbia, USC, Northwestern, Syracuse, University ofTexas at Austin, UNC, CUNY and BU. ( a lot!)

So far heard back from NWU, UT-Austin, UNC and BU. Got into them
Not heard a word from NYU, so I think that means a rejection is on its way I hope not though.
Skype interview with USC tomorrow.

No word from any others either.
