  2. As a cultural-intellectual historian who has been accepted into LSU's program for Fall 2012, I am very interested in any additional information that anyone (perhaps an insider?) could provide. I would really like to do interdisciplinary work with the philosophy department. This is something that I will look into more closely before I accept or decline LSU's offer, but is LSU's philosophy department open to interdisciplinary students?
  3. To completely change the direction of this thread, I see that you (Kelkel) are studying modern German history and are located in Louisiana. Have you had any experience at LSU? Particularly with Drs. Marchand or Lindenfeld?
  4. Thanks for the quick response! Although my application has not yet been reviewed. (Perhaps this is good, as I have not yet received a rejection?)
  5. For those of you that applied to SUNY-Buffalo's program, I have a quick question. On the results survey, someone posted for Buffalo's Ph.D. program that "Website said under committee review. Cool." However, I haven't been able to find this website which gives the status of your application. Does anyone else know what site this is? I've been checking my e-mail and snail-mail nearly every five minutes and I'm going to feel pretty dumb if a response was already posted online... Thanks!
  6. I also got accepted into LSU's history program for the 2012 year. I see that you are in the Ph.D. program - I'm only in the M.A. since they have no direct Ph.D. admissions. I'm hoping to work with Drs. Marchand and Lindenfeld, although I've been accepted into a few other programs (WVU, TTU, Nebraska-Lincoln) and am waiting on 3 more, so I'm not sure if LSU is a sure thing. Have you heard anything about funding yet? (Not details of course, but simply if you have heard anything) Also, what's the general area of your study?
