  1. So I just got an email today saying I didn't get the Robertson Fellowship. So Maryland is out since it's just way too expensive without any funding.
  2. I heard from them yesterday, it was actually quite generous.
  3. I am actually attending the spring visit day next week. I'll let you know what I think.
  4. I haven't received an email either I'm glad I'm not the only one.
  5. I called them today because this has been bugging me. They said you have to keep a B average. So all those that assume 3.0 was on the money.
  6. A couple people in my workplace know of my plan, but we've left the boss out of it. I figured I would let my boss know once I made a decision and sent in my deposit. When I tell him, I want to have a tangible outline of my plans. I am planning on working until mid to end of July so this should be adequate notice.
  7. Thanks for the quick reply. I was starting to wonder whether or not they received my application.
  8. Understatement700, did you email/ mail/ fax your fellowship application? I faxed my app and I never got any email saying that they received my application.
  9. Just got the mail today, but still no information regarding financial aid. Visit Day will be held on March 29 and you have notify them of your decision by April 16.
  10. Thank you. I applied for the MPA program - policy research and analysis major.
  11. I just got my Heinz admit!!!! (Today was my Pittsburgh day - I got into Pitt this morning) I got 12000 which they say is renewable for my remaining semesters contingent upon my continued high academic performance. Does anybody know what high academic performance constitute? Heinz is my dream school but I can only afford it if i get that 12000 per semester.
  12. I just got accepted to UPitt GSPIA!!! Got an email saying to check my application. The letter said funding information is coming later.
  13. Congrats!!!! Personally, the wait for Heinz has been the most agonizing. Hopefully this means that more decisions are coming soon. I'm going to step out for lunch so I don't keep refreshing my email.
  14. My letter was the exact same letter that was posted online. Nothing else. I wonder why everyone is getting different things?
  15. This school does not get a lot of mention in this forum (I think primarily due to the location). Still, I wanted to see if anyone had any input or experience with the Humphrey School. I applied there because I liked the curriculum in their Advanced Policy Analysis Method. Plus, they offer a graduate minor in Population Studies which is a subject that I am interested in. However, I am wary of the location and I don't really know much about the quality/quantity of their networks. From what I've gathered, Minnesota is more of a regional school and I would really like to move out of the Midwest after obtaining my master's degree. Do you think Minnesota would hinder my job search in DC/Northeast region?
  16. No, I'm still waiting. I saw the few that posted on the Official Admitted thread and noticed a couple of them said they applied for the DC track. So I tell myself that they're doing the DC apps first
  17. My letter is finally available and I'm in!!!! No mention of funding. It was definitely a little bit over 72 hours - I was about to give up for the day thinking they probably meant business days.
  18. I've also emailed ETS before. It took them a couple of days, but I did get a reply.
  19. Do you have a receipt saying that you sent the scores? I got an email from UPitt last week telling me that my official GRE scores were missing and I had until March 1st to send it (app deadline was Feb 1). I had the email receipt from ETS and sent it to Pitt. They took care of things on their end and they said my app was now completed and ready for review.
  20. Glad to hear your interview went well. They told me I should receive their decision 7 to 10 days after the interview. I actually came out of the interview feeling underwhelmed about the program. I felt like they kept blaming their shortcomings on the "small" size of the program. However, they told me their MPSA and MPSIA each had about 150 students (total of 300). I don't know, but I thought that was a pretty big number for a policy/international affairs program.
  21. I just checked my application status after reading @cmoz01 post and the same thing with me. A decision was made on 2/25 but I have to wait 48-72 hours to view the letter online. So this will definitely add to my paranoia.
  22. I think I was following the same page as you @state_school12. I didn't see anything about the video until I was about to submit my application, but it was too late at that point. I've been kind of worried that it would hurt me since the video was "highly recommended".
  23. I applied to the MSPPM 2-year Pittsburgh track and I haven't heard back. A financial aid email did say that decision letters will be received on or before March 15th, so I figured they were sending them out in March. On another note, I was wondering if anyone who applied to Heinz MSPPM made the optional video?
  24. My question was more about how I showed commitment to public service through my previous experience. I honestly can't recall whether or not they asked me about future plans; but I did prepare some answers for that question.
