  1. I don't believe Archie Manning (The Manning father) would allow Peyton to play in the NFC. He wants the chance of a Eli vs. Peyton Superbowl. Also, for anyone who doesn't know, Archie makes every single decision for his sons when it comes to football, without exaggeration. It's borderline sad.
  2. Well I'm new here and my agony has just begun. I can be your friend. . . I like talking about Football and Medieval History.
  3. Not going to lie, Squire is one of, if not "the" cheapest apartment 'complex' in the Amherst area. That being said, one of the above posters did mention an apartment (which I assume is a 1 bdrm in a large house with a kitchenette and a bathroom) for about $500. If you can find a deal like that, GRAB IT. Unfortunately I can tell you from 10 years out here, those awesome deals are not the norm, and counting on it 100% would not be wise.
  4. I've lived in the Amherst area for a decade. I love Sunderland personally. (directly North of Amherst). Most locations in Sunderland are 10 minutes to campus by car, 12-15 by bus (which runs every 15 minutes during the school year from 7:30am-6:30pm, and then every 35 minutes from 6:30pm-12:00pm+ depending on the night of the week) The average prices in Sunderland are much cheaper than Amherst, though the $500 quoted above (especially considering the location) sounds like a steal! If you are looking for a place in Sunderland though, I happen to love Squire Village Apartments. (squirevillage.net) BEST. . . LANDLADY. . . EVER.
  5. Let's go UMaine. . . Get this kid some Money! (and lots of it)
  6. ^^^ ***11 months Later*** And the Oscar goes to. . . Oseirus. . . For "The Bridge over the River Why?????? (subtitle: An applicant's Story)"
  7. I went to UMass for Undergrad. I hope to go to UMass for my Masters. That being said, the vast majority of English classes and offices are in Bartlett. I love the school, faculty, and buildings. . . But man, Bartlett just doesn't know how to be a comfortable temperature. Way too cold in the Winter (about 55-60) and way too hot in the late Spring (at the whim of the outside temp. . . been as hot as 95+) I would never second guess anything about UMass, but that building is my mortal enemy.
  8. And just to be clear, 97.25% of all people who reference Howard Zinn's book have not actually read it, but instead only know it from the reference to it in the movie "Good Will Hunting". Because a wicked suppah smart guy talked about it, it has to be wicked awesome, right?
  9. Very Happy for you Crazed!
  10. Ya, I got my official Wait Listed from UMass today.
  11. I'm actually not upset at all. UMass is my top choice. I love the school, and my GPA from back in 2002 was terrible. I returned in 2009 and finished up with a kick ass gpa, but my overall was still crap. I am going to UMass for MA, and I'm hoping to kick ass, take names, and then get into a great Ph.D program in a couple of years. Apparently the official notice of Accepted/Waitlisted/Rejected is getting mailed out next week, I just happen to have a few close friends (I went there as an Undergrad) who were able to get me some insider info.
  12. Well a new wait begins. . . Waitlisted at my top choice (UMass)
  13. Congrats Crazed! Not going to lie, I'm trying to get into the UMass MA program. . . so I'm doublely happy for you ;-)
  14. So many mistakes. . . Ugh... Waiting to hear from two different third rate schools. . . Losing my mind.
