    History

No no no! You shouldn't have sold it. There is a wonderful drawing application. You simply clear the grid and go crazy. It's like your own portable etch-a-sketch, how can you beat that? 8)
  3. Sure. I'll let you know when I get it. I think it kinda sucks that the letters have just been chillin on someone's desk for a signature. Couldn't they get their work study undergrads to forge some signatures.......I think I am just bitter...haha

  7. Re: Illinois I called to see if I should submit my fellowship app for a language that I had completed a month ago and the grad director told me that on Feb. 2nd Illinois was meeting to decide and I would hear the following week. Well I never heard, and the fellowship is due this friday. I called to confirm my belief that I was not admitted ..and was told that I was not admitted. Apparently, the letters have been sitting on someone's desk and have not been signed. You should be hearing soon. At least the secretary was honest, she even said "I feel you have the right to know now so you can make other plans"
  8. No go on history at Illinois....oh well. lol

Whoever predicted this week was right. I got my first acceptance, after the department told me I wouldn't hear until the end of March!
  21. I got in somewhere! To all those with horrible GRE scores, there is hope! lol
  22. Hey there, So I checked the results page, and someone listed that they received an acceptance letter from Illinois-Urbana. The lady who emailed me said they were only meeting February 2nd to make decisions......I am thinking I didn't get in, if they already dated letters and someone received one.....the stress is killing me! By the way, if the person who got accepted is reading this.. Congratulations on your admission!
  23. Hey there, When I had my phone interview for a history phd program, we talked about GRE math scores. I told her I was dissapointed in my math score because I used to be an engineer. And she told me that they don't care about math at all. She also said that if a person has a high math score they are pleasantly surprised and that means the person is smart and she started laughing. So....I think it depends on the program and school, but I don't think it matters a great deal.
  24. Hey Amanda, That part wasn't all clear. It may be just for people applying for FLAS scholarships, but then again...it could be everyone. Sorry I can't be of more help!
