Just got my rejection letter from University of Washington in painting. Good luck to those who were accepted still in the running for a couple of schools

I think I am going to give up painting, now that I know there are people like you applying, just stunning work sir, I applaud your skill and hope someday to be equals with you!

I just received a rejection from University of Nebraska (painting), I also received a call from University of Florida and was put on the wait list, they informed me that they only accepted 4 people into the program (so if you are one of the lucky 4 and are not planning on attending... wink wink!!) The school was extremely nice, they just recently bought a new art building, so the studios were clean and the work space was fresh! there are studios in the area that are super cheap and right across from the art school, I had lunch with some of the students and they all raved about how great the program was and how nice the funding was. I am applying to U Mass Dartmouth as well for painting because of how great the program felt.

Your work is amazing, "LOW POINTS IN HIGH PLACES" is beautiful I absolutely love it. Wow, just wow.

I looked into the program after all the controversy, with the department losing all of their MFA students, I left feeling unsure about the program. After reading the reasons for why the students left, their comments and then reading the statement from the dean, I decided not to apply. (although I'm not sure what my chances for getting in would have been anyway.)
