Fingers are definitely crossed for you! When do you find out?
-
Did you accept yet?
-
Stupid question: how do you formally accept your award? I received the acceptance email on Monday and nothing else... Does that part come in the mail?
-
That's amazing!! Congrats!!

Somebody once told me that Germans do that (don't know if it's actually true or not) and I though it was awesome! I totally do that now too - I'm sure people think it's weird but that's ok.
-
I feel like sticking to chocolate and cheese is totally justifiable if you're going to be living in Switzerland. Local people will understand - they know it's delicious too :-)

Oh man - I'm vegetarian too... I may have to start eating meat during my trip because there is very little Dominican food that doesn't contain meat or fish. Plus, I don't want to be the high maintenance a-hole who refusues everyone's cooking. I feel like it would be different being vegetarian in Europe because there's likely more people who don't eat meat and therefore you wouldn't come off as being offensive when you tell people you can't eat certain things. In the DR people just think you're crazy and/or a weirdo!

Hopefully today or at least this week! zhaskin pointed out that we should all know by the 15th of May... It sounds like forever away but at least there is a potential end within the relatively near future... Ugh! I'm sorry you're still waiting - this timing is ridiculous...

That is such great news!!!! They're adding that many spots? And it sounds like you get preference as an alternate... Awesome!!!
-
That's awesome! Costa Rica is really cool! I lived in San Jose from 2005-2006 and had a really great experience. You're going to love it.

Wow creative writing? That's so interesting! What specifically are you planning on doing? I'm in public health, planning to look at maternal-child health outcomes in severely marginalized women (sex workers and HIV+ mothers).

Ok Fulbright - let's end this tomorrow. Let's get some notifications for those last few countries still waiting! You can do it.
-
Haha yes - Fulbright induced seizures, indeed! I was seriously alarmed at how much my hands were shaking as I refreshed my email over and over (and over and over) waiting for my notification.
-
Awesome!! Where will you be? I'm in Puerto Plata!
-
Full grant to the Dominican Republic!!! I can't believe it! I'm still shaking...
-
I'm a DR full applicant - I have no email!! why??????
-
I'm crossing my fingers that it will be! But most importantly, I'm crossing my fingers that it will be good news for all of us! Wouldn't that be amazing? I think yes.
-
Congrats! And welcome to out little community :-)

They do not have access to your medical records. The ONLY people who have access to your medical history is your doctor's office (and affiliated institutions, such as partner hospitals), your insurance company, and anybody you sign a release of your records to.

Sounds like it. I received the same little gem, worded EXACTLY the same way last year.
-
Congrats to all who heard today - there's just a handful of us left now. Hopefully tomorrow will be another flood of notifications...
