I believe they sent out emails with a general update to everyone on the waitlist. I am sure you got one as well.- 16 replies

I would have chosen Oxford over Yale, but I got rejected now after two re-evaluations. I also heard from the admission officer that the class in Yale is full. Looks like I am going to Edinburgh after all. What about you?- 16 replies

I contacted the admission office last week. Apparently, the class is full and we, the waitlisted, will be informed tomorrow. However, there still might be some changes over the summer. I doubt that they will take more than 5-10 from the waitlist, if any.

well that is, what I thought, the reason for the waitlist in the first place. But I am probably wrong, since I don't know a thing about admissions in the US. Here in Europe, its slightly different, I suppose.

did not someone post here that he was going to reject the spot at Yale? There must be at least a few who decide not to go...

got admitted to the Carbon Finance Masters in Edinburgh. Might do that instead of HEC, if the others do not work out. What do you think?- 16 replies

well, the problem with HEC is that, although the master's is in sustainble development, its still a business school. Recently, I have been doing a lot of research, which fits much better with the programmes in Yale and Oxford. I also met quite a few people who told me that HEC does not keep up with expectations students have, when they get there (Best Business School worldwide according to Financial Times). Also, living-wise, I'd prefer the UK or US to a suburb of Paris. So, let's keep fingers crossed.- 16 replies

I called today. They told me that they have not finished the process yet, but that I should be notified "in a week". They also mentioned that its likely that I will get re-evaluated again in the third phase. Stupid missing post-bachelor work experience...- 16 replies

Hi, I applied to the ECM for the November deadline and got an email for re-evaluation during second deadline. Haven't heard back from them yet. I got waitlisted in Yale and admitted to HEC Paris (Sustainable Development). Regarding 1 vs. 2-year: Formally, it is the same degree, but obviously employer will know the difference. The ECM is also much more interdisciplinary than the MEM in Yale.- 16 replies

Hey, regarding financial aid from Yale F & ES: Is it merit or need-based? I heard different opinions on that. Suppose it is a mix.. but if its merit-based, than those from the wait list probably do not have great chances of getting substantial financial aid, right? One more thing, are there records from previous years on how many percent from the waitlist they accept in the end? I got an offer from HEC Paris and they want me to pay a quite large non-refundable deposit. Also waiting for results from Oxford... Kind regards

Hi, I am just joining your conversation. I also got waitlisted. Here some facts on my application: -BSc in Business Administration from Germany (conferred June 2012): GPA 3.95 (WES approved) / Top 5% - Majors: Finance, Accounting, Statistics -GMAT: 730 (96th Percentile) AWA 5.5 -TOEFL: 115 (97th Percentile) -7 months of internship experience during bachelor (Middle East / Africa (UNEP)) -One publication on environmental economics with UNEP (single author) -One related publication under review by peer-reviewed journal (in collaboration with a known environmental economists from UNEP) - Scholarship from German government - Award for best male high school degree in my federal state - Research Interest: Ecosystem Finance (Payment for ecosystem services) / Sustainable Investment I believe I got waitlisted, because I am still in my bachelor and I have no post-bachelor work experience. Looking forward to staying in touch. Cheers.
