  1. Is anyone else trying to decide between these two? Berkeley is giving me some funding (very little though) and I feel that it has the better digital program. It's also in San Francisco, which would give me a great change from New York, where I am now. Small program is a plus, and it's much longer than Columbia's program. Columbia is Columbia; I think it's really grand if you're doing print journalism, which I'm not. If you're going digital, I'm not sure that it can beat the west coast, especially Berkeley. But it's still located in the current center of the media world, so that's definitely a plus. I'm leaning toward Berkeley, but any opinions out there that might be helpful?
  2. Berkeley - Accepted (funding) Northwestern - Accepted (funding) Columbia - Accepted (no funding, I don't think) I'm torn.
  3. Totally agree with the photo above. I am kind of in the same dilemma. I did journalism at NYU and have been working in New York for the past year. I want to develop my multimedia skills so I thought I'd go back to school for digital media. I was accepted to Northwestern, Berkeley and Columbia. Northwestern is a bit too close to home, and I don't really want to live in suburban Chicago, so I've basically ruled it out. Now the tough part is choosing between Berkeley and Columbia. I feel that Berkeley has the better digital/new media program, but Columbia is Columbia and is located in New York, where I would like to ultimately end up I think. I feel in my gut that I'm leaning toward Berkeley, but it's so hard letting go of Columbia, especially since I'm not sure what kinds of opportunities/connections I'd find in San Fran. Any advice?
