Nope, I've already mentioned that as I got the information from the graduate student office. I try to see it positvely as I will be able to do internships during my PhD, the thing you can't do when you have NSERC.

I'd go for dev industrial position ! At least you can make an evolution in industry and go back to academia when a position opens , especially if you keep publishing !!! In addition you just improve your network.

Do they tell you when you are on the waiting list ? How do they manage their waiting lists, as I expect people who got Vanier will reject their PGS/CGS

Well guys, didn't you know that obtaining a scholarship is the easiest way to gain money !! Now the people who didn't obtain it, should move their a**es and start looking for paid internship :-)
