Honestly, I have NO idea where I was on the reversion list. I never called to find out because I wasn't overly hopeful. I assume I must have been somewhere near the top. I just found out late last week. I got a letter in the mail.

Don't feel discouraged.. I was on the reversion list and I received a letter saying I got an OGS. Keep your head up Also, if you want to find out where you are on the reversion list there is a number on your official letter that you can call and the lady will tell you your position.
-
So how are the people on the reversion list being notified if an award becomes available since the website is down?
-
Is anyone having trouble accessing the OGS website?
-
Has anyone heard about their position on the reversion list yet?
-
Can people post on here if they hear anything about their rank on the reversion list?
-
I am on the reversion list... Poop... Hopefully near the top

I believe the results get posted on the website on (or around) April 14th.

In case anyone was curious... I am emailed SSHRC this week to inquire about the Employment Restrictions. They informed me that they will not allow students to work more than 15 hours a week at anytime during the 12 month period... "Good morning, Part-time employment is generally 10-15 hours a week. SSHRC regulations state

Would those of you who received OGS be willing to post your average? I am going to be applying next year and I am curious to see what kind of averages have won awards! Thanks

I was wondering it those who received OGS grants would be willing to post their average, I am planning to apply for next year and I am curious.

I still have not received my letter. Something tells me that they did not send them out last Friday like they suggested. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't go out till Monday. I am expecting it will come today or tomorrow. I will let you know when it arrives!

My contact told me the letters were being mailed last Friday... But still, I feel as though someone would have received them by now. Something tells me they were not sent last Friday. Hopefully we receive them by the end of this week.

Have any of the MA students actually received their letters in the mail yet? I am in the GTA and still nothing.
-
I think sometime next week. I heard that they were mailing them out this afternoon.

Again, this is a little off topic but... Does anyone know what the odds are of getting an OGS in your second year of Masters if you received a SSHRC in your first year? Is it easier to get an OGS if you have already had a SSHRC?
-
This might be a little off topic but does anyone know how the SSHRC award is paid out? Do they pay your fee's for the year and then give the rest to the receipient? Or do they split it up over all three semesters? Does it have to all be spent on school fees?

I found out from the women who heads the SSHRC committee at my school... She has access to the secure site. She said the results are being mailed out on Thursday or Friday. So you should receive them in the mail next week sometime depending on where you live.
-
The results are out... My application was SUCCESSFUL! YAY! Good luck everyone!
-
Has anyone tried contacting SSHRC as of late? I bet if you emailed them now they would say the results won't be released until the end of May or something ridiculous. I am starting to wonder if we are even going to hear this summer. Jeez
-
I didn't hear anything about SSHRC from my contact today... Hopefully I hear something tomorrow :S
-
I would be happy to let everyone know as soon as I hear... I know how frustrating this process is. It is the least I can do.

The contact at my University said she has been checking the secure website everyday and will let me know as soon as she finds out. I guess I will know before I get my letter in the mail.

I never assumed I would get it 100%. There was always that doubt in my mind. Everyone kept telling me though that I would. The lady who heads the SSHRC committee at my school said she has never sent one to SSHRC and not had it awarded to the student. Thats what all my professors kept telling me too but I knew it wouldnt be 100% until I had the paper in my hand. Nonetheless it made me feel a lot less confident.
