There's a fair amount of action over at AutoAdmit on the policy front, although mostly at the master's level. But I've been struggling to find any discussion whatsoever about my field (PhD in health policy/economics). Let me know if you find people!

What I'm really curious about is whether they are "official" interviews that are now a formal step in their admissions process, or if it is a more informal/ad hoc inquiry from a potential advisor who wants to learn more - e.g. does not being invited to interview constitute a rejection? What about in cases like my husband's, where he was just up at Princeton last week to meet with their Eurasian specialist - should he still be hoping for an interview request, or would that discussion "count" retroactively? Unfortunately, there just isn't enough forum action in my field (global health policy), so I'm channeling all of my nervious energy into worrying about his...

I also applied to the Harvard Health Policy PhD with a concentration in international health economics. Aside from those two, I've applied to a few MA programs as safeties (SAIS International Policy/Global Health and UMich Applied Economics). My options are somewhat narrow because of my focus on vaccines and pharmaceuticals in developing countries. What are your interests, and where did you apply?

Has anyone heard back for an interview with Wharton's doctoral programs, particularly for the PhD in Health Care Management and Economics? I'm having a really hard time gleaning information from the various grad school forums when it comes to these pretty small and specific program areas, so any insight would be greatly appreciated!

dmh26: Which history program is offering the interviews? I'm biting my nails to hear back from my husband's schools (9 programs, focusing on Central Asia history), and would be very interested to know if he's already been ruled out at one of them... I think I may care more than he does, if that's possible.
