I'm finishing my MA this year, held a Master's SSHRC and am hoping to start doctoral studies in Sept. I found the application process very awkward because I had to pick one school to gear it towards, and I really have no idea where I'll be going. Someone at grad studies said if I wind up getting a doctoral award and go to a different school than the one I listed on the application, I have to check with SSHRC to see if they'll allow me to hold the award somewhere else. Has anyone else had experience with this type of situation?

Hi all,
I see on the federal gov. website that there does not seem to be a Commonwealth Scholarship Competition open this year for students starting studies in the UK, in 2014-2015. Anyone know why? Really curious.... and... bad timing.
Thanks!

Received my letter today! Successful! Yay
I'm going into my second year of my MA in Theology. Not sure GPA but my average over past 2 years at time of application was about 87%. I had one departmental award at time of application, one TAship, a lot of community service, entrance scholarship. For future applicants' knowledge... I did not receive OGS this year so my receipt of this award was a huge surprise. So, there is hope if you don't get OGS!
