Letter came today, and it was successful! I am thrilled to have notification finally. Stats: Applied through the university going into the first year of my MA (so the award's duration will be for my second year) GPA: 86% in last two years of undergrad Honours degree recipient Three small scholarships Two conferences in my final year of undergrad: Congress and a small graduate conference through my university One pending publication at the time of the application Letters from my Honours thesis supervisor and my current supervisor. I imagine they were quite good. I did multiple workshops with my proposal and numerous one-on-one sessions with my pro-tem supervisor. Total time spent...24+ hours? Congrats to everyone who has found out so far, and good wishes to those still waiting.

BC posters have received letters! Not me, yet, but I remain hopeful that tomorrow is the day. Congrats to those who have been successful. I wish I had known about this site when I was applying -- the stats are really interesting and informative.

This is my hope. I spent a good twenty minutes researching Canada Post transport times. Hopefully tomorrow the letterbox will have some answers!

Wow! Came back here to see if there were any updates, and what I find is a complete understatement! Hopefully letters make it out to BC. Fingers crossed.

First time poster here. The wait is driving me insane. Does anyone know what this means for a student's completion timeline? I'm going into my thesis writing year and my timeline is to finish early-mid May 2013, which is why I asked that the award start May 2012. I wonder if SHHRC will retroactively begin payments, or if they will just begin in June/July/never. Rrrr.
