  1. I honestly think the biggest piece is conference presentations and publications. I was rejected last year but in the meantime had 1 additional conference presentation and 1 additional publication.
  2. Yes, I would simply tell them that you won the award and are wondering if there is a chance that they will reconsider your application. I have heard of cases where this has worked out! Not much else you can say.... they'll either have a spot for you or they won't. You never know, so I would definitely reach out if I were you!
  3. I can't speak to what would happen if you called them as I don't think the receptionist would divulge the information. Emailing the awards officer directly might be the better route.
  4. Great! I know, the waiting was driving me mad. I hope you get it too!!
  5. Hey everyone, I've been following this thread and emailed the senior awards officer at U of T inquiring about the results yesterday. She wrote me back an hour later and told me I was awarded the 3 year CGS-D. Before this, I had emailed my graduate unit and asked about notifications. He told me that the results just came in and that students would be notified "very soon". If you're eager to find out the result at U of T you might very well get a response on Monday from the awards officer at SGS. Otherwise it sounds like SGS will be emailing students either on Monday or Tuesday, hopefully before the official letters reach us. Hang in there!
  6. Nice! Not sure how they compare aside from Ryerson being more CBT focused and OISE integrative. Also have heard Ryerson is a more research-heavy focused program while OISE is less so.
  7. I think this differs year to year. Some years more applicants competing for spots in the program than other years. Good luck!
  8. Hey, I emailed my POI two months ago (end of January) and she had already sent out an offer to someone. That's all I know!
  9. Good luck! The M.Ed is a great program... lots of my friends from the program have jobs in the field now. There is also the EDD option following the M.Ed, which can be equivalent to the Phd for those in the M.Ed stream who want to pursue a doctorate after.
  10. Not sure about the M.Ed at OISE. I just finished that program actually! When I was applying to it two years ago, I called the Registrar's office weekly. They were able to update me on the status of my application. Seems OISE will not update application status online (mine is still 'under review' from two years ago).
  11. Yes, I have been accepted to the MA in Clinical & Counselling psych at OISE. Received a letter last week in the mail. Let me know if you have any questions about the process!
  12. Since OISE is part of the University of Toronto.......prestige is an answer to your question.
  13. Yeah after a quick Google search I figured it out! Looks like it's in NY.
  14. The St. John's interviews... PsyD in nfld?
